Banner Health Network returns its “best-ever” result for Medicare and its beneficiaries as part of the Pioneer ACO
PHOENIX (August 19, 2015) – Banner Health Network has delivered its best-ever result in a third successful year as part of the Pioneer Accountable Care Organization. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation reports that in Performance Year 3 (2014), BHN returned more than $29 million in savings over the predicted financial benchmark, while at the same time improving its quality score by nearly 10 percent over the previous year.

Lower costs, more proactive care in Aetna and Banner Health Network accountable care collaboration

PHOENIX (Nov. 21, 2011) — Aetna (NYSE: AET) today announced an accountable care collaboration with Banner Health Network and the introduction of Aetna Whole Health, a new commercial health care product that provides members access to highly coordinated care from physicians and facilities in the Banner Health Network. The Banner Health Network model is focused on wellness and improving patient care outcomes through better coordination and access to patient information. The new product will be available later this month to Maricopa County and some Pinal County employers with two-100 eligible employees.
